I just got my copy of the Human Rights Campaign's 'Buying for
Equality'report, which lists ratings for companies that may have
discriminatory policies or that don't support equality in the
workplace (or hiring) for gay and lesbians.
I regret to say that the Newell Rubbermaid Company scored a deplorable
29 out of 100 on their workplace equality practices.
I've learned that letterboxers tend to be very enlightened people, so
for those of you who support equality, please don't buy Rubbermaid
products, go for a different brand -- until Rubbermaid wakes up and
changes their HR policies.
Thank you.
